Word slowly filters through the blogosphere: a heinous slaughter has occurred. The Special Prosecutor has just a handful of clues: a pillow, a handkerchief, a letter, some overheard snatches of songs, and various other floating signifiers.
Who is guilty? The Poet-King? The Therapist-Queen? Cassio, the general who sounds just like a Casio keyboard? The malicious minister Ogai? The Chief of Police (and reformed hippie) Ordina?
Each evening the audience will be treated to an absolutely unique performance, as the 26 scenes of the play are performed in random order every night; the jumbled order of the scenes echoes the disquisition on order and meaning that is at the heart of the play. The play will never be performed in the same order twice! That is, the odds are 400 billion zillions to 1 against it being performed in the same order twice. It’s true. We did the math.
